Chilli and turmeric cod marinate


500 g cod


2 tsp turmeric powder

1 and 1/2 tsp cumin powder

2 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp piri piri powder (if you don’t like hot dishes skip that)

3 garlic cloves

1 lemon

3 tbsp olive oil


Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Clean the lemon well. Zest it first and then squeeze it for the juice. Mince the garlic.

Put the spices in a big bowl and mix the oil, lemon juice and zest in. Cod is skinned, deboned and sliced into 3 cm. cubes. Coat the fish with the marinade in the bowl and let it sit there for approximately half an hour.

Spread on a baking dish and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

Serve with rice as well as spinach and broccoli, that’s been pan fried for a minute or two.
