It’s still cold in Iceland, so this drink is really comforting. Turmeric latte is nice any time of the year though and extremely good for you. I bought the mug at the Jane Austen museum in Bath a few years back. It’s one of my favourite mugs. The quote from Persuasion says it all, doesn’t it? 🙂
Vegan turmeric latte
Ingredients
3 bags turmeric chai tea
1 cup oat milk (or any other plant milk)
1 tsp turmeric
5 drops caramel stevia, from Good Good (optional)
pinch of black pepper
Method
Put 3 teabags on the bottom of a mug and pour in hot water. Like you would when having tea, but this time only a bit of water. Let the tea bags sit in the water for 2-3 minutes.
Meanwhile heat the milk. I do it with the frother on my coffee machine.
Remove the tea bags and squeeze them over the mug before throwing away. Stir in the turmeric and stevia. Season with black pepper.
Pour in the warm oat milk and stir a bit.
Enjoy! 🙂
