Those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance can not just pick a random baking powder from the store because baking powder quite often includes wheat-derived products. Some are gluten free, but have other chemicals mixed in that aren’t exactly good for people with sensitive digestive system. It’s important to read the labels at least.
The good news is that it’s extremely easy to make your own baking agent. Only three ingredients mixed together. Takes two minutes.
50 g cream of tartar
25 g baking soda
25 g tapioca
Using a teaspoon mix everything thoroughly together. Put it in a jar with a tight lid. Keeps well in a cold and dry cupboard.
