Ingredients
1 part gin
2 parts sparkling water
ice cubes made from blood orange juice
dried blood orange slices (not crucial)
Method
Put the ice cubes in a nice cocktail glass or just the kind of glass you fancy.
Pour the gin over and then the sparkling water. Put one or two of the dried
blood orange slices in the glass and use one as garnish. When the ice
cubes melt the drink becomes pink.
To dry blood orange slices arrange them in a single layer on an oven rack
and keep in the oven overnight at the lowest temperature possible.
It differs a bit depending on what type of oven you’re using, but it must not
be warmer than 70°C. They keep well in the freezer. Fans of vodka can use
that instead of gin and this drink is lovely without alcohol as well.
